Our promise on every order
- Typically ships in 3–7 business days — crated and moved by LTL freight from Fort Myers, FL. The carrier then schedules delivery with you.
- A genuine AHRI-certified pair — the certified reference number is published in the specifications below, so you can look the rating up yourself before you order.
- Check your match in seconds — put in the two model numbers you were quoted and see whether that pair is AHRI-certified before you spend anything. Not sure, or not our equipment? Send them to us and we will look them up by hand.
- 30 days to return unopened equipment — full returns policy.
About this system
The Everwell CAC-15 condenser matched to the FAHC front-return air handler — the version for a closet that will not take a standard return. Same condenser, same certified pairing, a cabinet that fits where the other one does not.
What ships
- Outdoor unit — Everwell CAC-15 R-454B condenser, GoldFin™-coated all-copper coil
- Indoor unit — Everwell FAHC front-return air handler
- Two crates, shipped together as an AHRI-certified matched pair
Front return, and when it matters
The return duct enters the front of the cabinet rather than the side or bottom. That sounds like a detail until you are standing in a hallway closet with no room to bring a return in from below — which is a common problem in older Florida houses and in any retrofit where the mechanical space was sized for equipment that is no longer made.
The FAHC is also physically smaller: the crate is 23.2 × 17.7 × 39.4 inches against the AHC's 22.83 × 25.6 × 47.63. If the existing closet is tight, measure before you choose.
What it actually rates
14.3 SEER2, certified across all four sizes. That figure belongs to this condenser and this air handler together, not to the outdoor unit alone. Everwell publishes the certificate for each pairing and the link for the size you select is in the documents on this page — or check any pairing yourself.
The GoldFin coil
An all-copper coil with a corrosion-resistant coating, built for the salt air and permanent humidity that make standard coatings fail early on the Gulf Coast.
Sizing — 1.5 to 3 ton
Four capacities. The FAHC series tops out at 3 ton; above that, the standard-return AHC version runs to 5. Get a Manual J from someone who has walked the property — an oversized system never dehumidifies, whichever cabinet it lives in.
Before you order
- Must be installed by a licensed HVAC professional — EPA certification is required to open a refrigerant circuit, and the manufacturer warranty depends on it
- No 15 kW or 20 kW heat kit on this series. The FAHC strip heat covers the smaller sizes; if this is the only heat in the house and you need the larger output, choose the AHC version instead
- Line set, disconnect, whip, thermostat and equipment pad are not included
- Ships as two crates — read receiving a freight delivery before delivery day
Key features
- 14.3 SEER2 cooling, AHRI-certified as a matched pair
- AHRI certificate linked on every size — check the rating yourself
- FAHC front-return air handler suits tighter closets
- GoldFin™ coated all-copper coil resists coastal corrosion
- No 15 kW or 20 kW heat kit on this series — choose AHC if you need one
- Ships as two crates — condenser and air handler
Everwell is where the price per BTU is lowest — a complete matched system here costs less than some condensers do on their own.
- Current-spec refrigerant throughout. R-454B across the central range. Nothing is last-generation stock being cleared ahead of the phase-out.
- GoldFin coil coating. Built for high-humidity and salt-air environments where standard coil coatings fail early — the same problem the all-aluminum coils solve elsewhere in our catalogue, addressed a different way.
- AHRI certified and ETL listed, with a certificate published per matched pair. You can pull the certificate and check the rating yourself before you spend anything — the link is in the documents on this listing.
- Complete matched systems from $2,698. That is less than some Trane condensers cost on their own, before you have bought an air handler.
- Both halves from one manufacturer. Condenser and air handler engineered together, so the pairing is not something you have to go and verify yourself.

How buying direct works — the whole process, start to finish
You are buying the equipment from us and the labour from an installer you choose. Two numbers instead of one bundled quote — which is the point, but it does mean you are the one connecting them. Here is the whole sequence.
- Order the equipment. The price on this page is what you pay us. Nothing about installation is included in it, and nothing is added later.
- Line up your installer before it ships. This is the step people skip, and it is the one that causes trouble — equipment sitting in a garage while you ring round for someone free. You need a licensed HVAC professional; opening a refrigerant circuit requires EPA certification. Ask specifically what they charge to install customer-supplied equipment. How to find one.
- It ships crated on a freight truck. Orders typically ship within 3–7 business days. A complete system travels as two crates — condenser and air handler — which can arrive on different days. Delivery is to your address on a liftgate truck for one flat price, with nothing to choose at checkout. What delivery costs.
- The carrier calls to book a delivery window. That appointment is when your equipment arrives — not the ship date. Answer the call; an unanswered one is the most common cause of a delay.
- Inspect it before you sign. Two minutes at the tail of the truck decide whether a damage claim works. Note any damage on the delivery receipt specifically, not just "damaged", and photograph it before it comes off the truck. What to check.
- Your installer fits it, then register the warranty. Line set, disconnect, whip, thermostat and equipment pad are not included — your installer supplies those. Registering within 60 days of installation takes about four minutes and extends parts coverage from five years to ten. Warranty terms.
