Advertising & Analytics Notice

Our Privacy Policy explains that we share information with business and marketing partners in order to advertise to you. This notice adds the specifics: what we share with Meta and with Google, why, and how you can limit it.

Advertising and conversion measurement

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and we share information with Meta Platforms, Inc. in order to measure whether those advertisements lead to purchases. Two separate streams of information are involved.

From your browser. The Meta pixel on our store records your activity here — pages and products viewed, items added to your cart, checkouts started and orders placed — along with your device and browser information and your IP address.

From our servers. Through Meta's Conversions API, our store sends Meta a record of the same events directly, including order details such as the products purchased and the order total, together with a cryptographically hashed version of your email address and phone number. Hashing converts those values into an irreversible string before they leave our systems; we do not transmit your email address or telephone number to Meta in readable form. Meta may match the hashed values against its own records in order to attribute a purchase to an advertisement and to build audiences for our advertising. Meta processes this information under its own privacy policy.

We also send Meta our product catalog — titles, descriptions, prices, images and availability — so that our equipment can appear in advertisements. That information is about our products, not about you.

We share website activity and product information with Google for advertising and analytics on the same basis.

Your choices

You can limit this in any of the following ways:

Decline non-essential cookies where we present that choice.
Browse with the Global Privacy Control signal enabled in your browser. Where we can associate that signal with your visit, we treat it as a request to opt out of sharing for targeted advertising.
Change what Meta shows you through your Meta ad preferences, and what Google shows you through your Google ad settings.
Email sales@hvacsupplypro.com and ask us to stop sharing your information for targeted advertising. We will honor that request.

Declining does not affect your ability to browse or buy from us, and it does not change the price you pay.
