Our promise on every order

  • Typically ships in 3–7 business days — crated and moved by LTL freight from Southwest Florida. The carrier then schedules delivery with you.
  • A genuine AHRI-certified pair — the certified reference number is published in the specifications below, so you can look the rating up yourself before you order.
  • Check your match in seconds — put in the two model numbers you were quoted and see whether that pair is AHRI-certified before you spend anything. Not sure, or not our equipment? Send them to us and we will look them up by hand.
  • 30 days to return unopened equipment — full returns policy.
What's included, and what your installer supplies Ships as two crates by freight. Installation is not included.

In the box: the outdoor condenser and the indoor air handler, the matched pair for the size you choose (model numbers are in the specifications below).

Your installer supplies the line set (or reuses yours if it qualifies: reuse or replace?), electrical disconnect and whip, thermostat and control wire, condensate drain and float switch, a condenser pad or wall brackets, and the permit.

Electric heat is not included. If you want it, add the matching Everwell standard-return heat kit.

Installation is by your licensed HVAC contractor. How to find one.

Overview

About this system

The Everwell CAC-15 heat pump matched to the AHC standard-return air handler. One outdoor unit that both heats and cools, at the lowest price per BTU in this catalogue — no furnace, no gas line, no second piece of equipment.

What ships

  • Outdoor unit — Everwell CAC-15 R-454B heat pump condenser, GoldFin™-coated all-copper coil
  • Indoor unit — Everwell AHC standard-return air handler
  • Two crates, shipped together as an AHRI-certified matched pair

What it actually rates

14.3 SEER2 cooling and 7.5 HSPF2 heating, certified across all seven sizes. Both figures belong to this exact pairing rather than to the condenser on its own — Everwell publishes a certificate for each one, and the link for the size you select is in the documents on this page.

Holding a quote from somebody else? Put the two model numbers in here and we will tell you whether that combination carries a certified rating.

How a heat pump heats

Rather than burning fuel, it runs the cooling cycle backwards and moves heat from outside air into the house — which is why it costs less to run than strip heat, and why it works so well in Florida. Two things are worth knowing before you buy one: capacity falls as the outdoor temperature drops, and the unit stops producing heat entirely during a defrost cycle.

That is what the AHC electric heat kit is for. It carries the house through both. In this climate that is a handful of hours a year; further north it is a great deal more.

The GoldFin coil

An all-copper coil with a corrosion-resistant coating, built for salt air and permanent humidity — the conditions that make standard coil coatings fail early on the Gulf Coast. A heat pump runs year-round rather than eight months, so it spends more hours exposed to exactly that.

Sizing — 1.5 to 5 ton

Seven capacities. Get a Manual J load calculation from a contractor who has seen the property. Oversizing a heat pump is worse than oversizing an air conditioner: it short-cycles in both seasons.

Before you order

  • Must be installed by a licensed HVAC professional (EPA Section 608 certification is required to open a refrigerant circuit); manufacturers' warranty terms generally require licensed installation
  • Line set, disconnect, whip, thermostat and equipment pad are not included
  • Cooling only is cheaper if the house already has heat — see the CAC-15 air conditioner version
  • Ships as two crates — read receiving a freight delivery before delivery day

Highlights

Key features

  • 14.3 SEER2 cooling plus heating, AHRI-certified as a matched pair
  • AHRI certificate linked on every size — check the rating yourself
  • One outdoor unit heats and cools — no separate furnace
  • GoldFin™ coated all-copper coil resists coastal corrosion
  • AHC standard-return air handler, 15 kW and 20 kW heat kits available
  • Ships as two crates — condenser and air handler

Everwell is where the price per BTU is lowest — a complete matched system here costs less than some condensers do on their own.

  • Current-spec refrigerant throughout. R-454B across the central range. Nothing is last-generation stock being cleared ahead of the phase-out.
  • GoldFin coil coating. Built for high-humidity and salt-air environments where standard coil coatings fail early — the same problem the all-aluminum coils solve elsewhere in our catalogue, addressed a different way.
  • AHRI certified and ETL listed, with a certificate published per matched pair. You can pull the certificate and check the rating yourself before you spend anything — the link is in the documents on this listing.
  • Complete matched systems from $2,698. That is less than some Trane condensers cost on their own, before you have bought an air handler.
  • Both halves from one manufacturer. Condenser and air handler engineered together, so the pairing is not something you have to go and verify yourself.

How buying the equipment yourself works — the whole process, start to finish 6 steps

You are buying the equipment from us and the labour from an installer you choose. Two numbers instead of one bundled quote — which is the point, but it does mean you are the one connecting them. Here is the whole sequence.

  1. Order the equipment. The price on this page is what you pay us. Nothing about installation is included in it, and nothing is added later.
  2. Line up your installer before it ships. This is the step people skip, and it is the one that causes trouble — equipment sitting in a garage while you ring round for someone free. You need a licensed HVAC professional; opening a refrigerant circuit requires EPA certification. Ask specifically what they charge to install customer-supplied equipment. How to find one.
  3. It ships crated on a freight truck. Orders typically ship within 3–7 business days. A complete system travels as two crates — condenser and air handler — which can arrive on different days. Delivery is to your address on a liftgate truck for one flat price, with nothing to choose at checkout. What delivery costs.
  4. The carrier calls to book a delivery window. That appointment is when your equipment arrives — not the ship date. Answer the call; an unanswered one is the most common cause of a delay.
  5. Inspect it before you sign. Two minutes at the tail of the truck decide whether a damage claim works. Note any damage on the delivery receipt specifically, not just "damaged", and photograph it before it comes off the truck. What to check.
  6. Your installer fits it. Line set, disconnect, whip, thermostat and equipment pad are not included — your installer supplies those. Warranty terms are set by the manufacturer and vary by brand and product line; check them before you buy, and register the equipment if the terms allow. Warranty terms.
